We just moved into a new house. Like most avid gardeners, I am frustrated that it is too late in the year to begin work on my garden; so I must be content to decorate the house and attract birds. Some head way has been made on decorating and several different species of birds are visiting our birdfeeders.

We had purchased a new bedroom suite some months ago, but did not set it up until we moved from a rental into our new home. We are relative newcomers in a small town, and I had shown the bed crown that was to be hung above the new French Provincial bed to one of the ladies from our church who had generously offered to help me move. The next day several other people came over to help me unpack. On entering the bedroom, the ladies all stared at the wall above the bed and expressed their disappointment that “The bed thing wasn’t up yet.”

Well, the “bed thing” is up now and the draperies for it are hung. I sewed a Toile medallion surrounded by a ribbon wreath on the sage mattress tick valence that tops sage ruffle edged curtains with a Toile lining. Thought you all might enjoy seeing my little idea.
